MUSIC

Muse: Drones (Warner Bros.)
Anthemic British alternative rock act Muse returns with "Drones," its ambitious, thematic seventh studio album. Taking a page from the progressive rock ethos, "Drones" is a full-on concept album which delves into heady political, global topics. It might sound a bit high-brow, but it's fitting fodder for the big-thinking, big-sounding group known for its forceful, almost militaristic arena rock sound.

Hear for yourself in the official video for "Dead Inside," the album's lead single.

James Taylor: Before This World (Concord Records)

One of the most successful singer-songwriters of all time, James Taylor stepped away from his craft for nearly 15 years, having not released new, original material since 2002. That changes this week with "Before This World," Taylor's first studio record since 2008's "Covers."

The Massachusetts folkie pays tribute to his beloved Boston Red Sox with "Angels Of Fenway"; tunes like "Watchin' Over Me" sound like they could have been plucked from his '70s heyday.

The Rolling Stones: Sticky Fingers (Reissue) (UMe)
While it's a tall task to pick a favorite Rolling Stones album, you'd have a hard time convincing someone it's not "Sticky Fingers." With a roster of "Brown Sugar," "Wild Horses," "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," "Bitch" and "Dead Flowers," and less famous but beloved tunes like "Moonlight Mile," the 1971 album is an undisputed rock classic.

The iconic album gets the reissue treatment this week, which means a second disc of 10 previously unreleased tracks, including an alternative version of "Brown Sugar" featuring Eric Clapton, an acoustic take on "Wild Horses" and five songs recorded during a concert at The Roundhouse in London in 1971. There are also deluxe editions of the re-release, featuring DVD, vinyl and download content.

Check out the Clapton-assisted version of "Brown Sugar" below.

Nate Ruess: Grand Romantic (Fueled By Ramen)
Fans of alterna-pop balladeers Fun are in a holding pattern since the group announced a hiatus earlier this year. Frontman Nate Ruess should make that wait a little more manageable with the release of "Grand Romantic," his first solo album.

Check out the unique "visualizer" video for the album single "AhHa" below.

BEERS FOR DAD ON FATHER'S DAY
By Michael Lello

Founders Kentucky Bourbon Stout (11.2 % Alcohol By Volume)

Brewed with a "massive amount of coffee and chocolates," this imperial stout is aged in oaken bourbon barrels for a year. The results? A smooth-drinking stout complete with bourbon undertones.

Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA (6.1 % ABV)
This one will guarantee dad has a "hoppy" Father's Day. Over the course of a 60-minute boil, Dogfish Head adds hops to this IPA 60 times. The citrus-noted beer is the brewery's follow-up to its 90 Minute and 120 Minute IPAs.

Not Your Father's Root Beer (Small Town) (10 % ABV)

If dad isn't a traditional beer drinker but likes something with some bite, the newly launched Not Your Father's Root Beer, despite the name, might be the perfect fit. Billed as a "dark amber ale," the elixir is brewed, fermented and carbonated like a beer but drinks like a root beer, with hints of cinnamon, wintergreen, anise, vanilla bean and sarsaparilla bark.

Samuel Adams Summer Ale (5.3 % ABV)
A crisp, refreshing American wheat ale, Sam Adams Summer has become a seasonal standby. Light and with a hint of citrus, it's perfect for summer fun, like a backyard Father's Day hangout with the family.

Stone Enjoy By 7-4-15 IPA (9.4 % ABV)
Make sure dad enjoys this IPA by July 4 - the end of the "extraordinarily short window" Stone Brewing suggests for enjoying the latest in its limited-edition run of "Enjoy By" beers. Stone's brewmaster Mitch Steele promises that the Enjoy By 7-4-15 IPA, bottled on May 30, will hit the drinker with a "massive onslaught of hops."

Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin (7 % ABV)

Ballast Point's Grapefruit Sculpin offers a decidedly citrusy take on the IPA, the beer style that's dominating today's craft brew market. Named after a fish that has the ability to sting but is renowned for its tasty meat, this selection offers much of the same: some sting and rich, full flavor.

The Paint Workshop by Nails Inc (at Saks Fifth Avenue)

Did you know Saks Fifth Avenue has a nail salon? Me neither. On the fifth floor of the retailer's flagship store, tucked away between a rack of Haute Hippie clothing and the Blink Brow Bar, is the first New York location for London-based Nails Inc.'s Paint Workshop.

I was offered tea and tiny English biscuits before the manicurist, Arlene Hinckson, sat down and treated my nails to the most elaborate manicure $19 can buy: meticulous nail filing, buffing and the application of Nails Inc.'s Kensington Caviar hand cream. That was followed by two coats of polish in St. James – a cross between cherry red and raspberry – a dab of vitamin E oil with hints of lavender and the Kensington Caviar top coat that dries in 45 seconds (I almost fainted when she touched my nails to see if they were dry, but they were). I was blown away by how much my nails looked like a gel manicure.

Henri Bendel Monogram Shop
I'm excited to announce that high-end accessories designer Henri Bendel now offers free monogramming on certain handbags, wallets, phone cases and makeup bags for online orders. Emboss your Bendel backpack with your initials, up to three, for a bit of personal pizazz to an already luxurious accessory. I wish they had the monogram shop before I snatched up my own satchel from the beloved 120-year-old brand.

ASK Fashion by Amanda Koker
ASK Fashion is a spunky Boston-based designer that caters exclusively to plus-size women. Amanda Koker's rock star-inspired line is an affordable haven for curvy customers in an industry that is still playing catch-up with plus-size fashion.

ASK Fashion, set to present at this week's Full Figured Fashion Week, is part of an ever-growing list of local brands that manufacture all of their clothing in the U.S.

"I'm anti fast-fashion; I want nothing to do with it," Koker said, referring to international retailers like Zara and Primark that produce clothing in Asia in bulk where labor costs are a bit cheaper. While there is nothing wrong with Zara and Primark (I love both), Koker wants her brand to stand for investing in local capital. "I want people to be proud that they' re supporting something sustainable," the designer said.

Dr. Martens Victorian Flowers boots

I'm not crazy about Dr. Martens. But once I saw a woman wearing these black boots with pink and yellow, the stylist in me became inspired. Why not match a pair of the iconic $135 shoes with a mini, A-line dress? What I love about fashion is that you can fall in love with something you thought you hated simply by seeing it on someone else. Edgy. Chic. Cool.

Director Matthew Vaughn adapts the comic book "The Secret Service," created by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar, for the big screen in his most successful film.

The DUFF (Lionsgate)

What is a D.U.F.F.? Designated. Ugly. Fat. Friend. Bianca Piper learns that description the hard way as she tries to navigate her senior year of high school.

Mae Whitman plays Bianca, the so-called DUFF, according to her next-door neighbor and the hottest guy in school, Wesley Rush (Robbie Amell). She enlists Wesley to help change her image and hopefully gain the attention of her crush.

Ken Jeong also stars as Bianca's journalism teacher and Romany Malco plays the school's principal.

Special features on the Blu-ray/DVD include deleted scenes, an extended gag reel and two featurettes titled "I Am the DUFF" and "The DUFF Files." Other specials include a look at the red carpet at the premiere, bringing the book to the screen and comparing "The Duff" to teen comedies.

Two and a Half Men (Warner Home Video)
The biggest question going into the final season was whether Charlie Sheen would return to the CBS comedy that fired him four years earlier. Creator Chuck Lorre left that question nearly unanswered until the final moments of the series finale.

Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher finished the season, but short their "half" man, the show returned to the original concept in a different way. Walden (Kutcher) wants to adopt a child but discovers it would be easier if he were a married gay man. His solution: propose and marry his roommate, Alan (Cryer).

The season finale welcomed back Angus T. Jones, Holland Taylor, Melanie Lynskey, Amber Tamblyn and many of the actresses who played Charlie's girlfriends over the first eight seasons.

Special features on the Blu-ray/DVD include a gag reel.
