Raz-B on Life Support: Former B2K Member in a Coma Following Nightclub Attack in China

Raz-B, real name De'Mario Monte Thornton, is in a coma after getting attacked in a China nightclub. According to TMZ, the former B2K boy band member is in critical condition and has been placed on life support.

It all started Friday night when Raz-B was performing at a night club in China when a fight broke out in the crowd. According to reports, he tried to break up the fight when someone smashed him in the face with a glass bottle.

The 28-year-old singer was taken to the hospital after the incident and had a minor, routine surgery to fix the cut on his lip. The next day, however, Raz-B didn't wake up and his backup dancer rushed him to the hospital. Toy Jones, the singer's publicist confirmed the news to TMZ.

"He is in a coma and needs as many prayers as possible," Jones said.

Doctors have tested for brain activity and have determined the situation is critical. Raz-B was immediately put on a ventilator and has been in and out of consciousness.

At the time of the accident Raz-B issued a statement to TMZ: "F**k this shit hurts. I have a f***king hole in my lip. Thank God I made it to the hospital."

The singer had told TMZ that he wasn't going to take legal action against the person who attacked him with the bottle and was also planning on moving back to the United States for his "big comeback."

There's been no indication on what drastically changed since Raz-B left the hospital and returned home. This isn't the first time he's suffered a major injury while in China. Last year, he had to be rushed to the hospital after he tripped and fell through a glass door in his Shanghai hotel room, MTV reports.

A shard of glass cut into his wrist severing nerves, ligaments and tendons. Someone else in the room immediately called the ambulance and he was rushed to the hospital. It took him nearly three months to recover from the injury.

Raz-B has been living in China for the last three years. He rose to fame a member of the boy band group B2K along with Omarion, Lil Fizz and J-Boog.
