DeMarcus Cousins has been involved in trade rumors all offseason after it was reported that George Karl wanted to move him. The trade rumors appeared to be over and it looked like Cousins and Karl were working out their differences while preparing for the 2015-16 season but that apparently isn't the case. Howard Beck of Bleacher Report says that the majority of the organization is on board with trading Cousins and there are only a couple of people opposed.

Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive and vice president of basketball and franchise operations Vlade Divac are two of the only people that reportedly want to keep Cousins in Sacramento.

"Vivek Ranadive absolutely wants to hold onto Cousins. But I've been told if you polled the rest of the organization, the vast majority are in favor of trading Cousins and that would include, though he denies it, George Karl," said Beck.

This report is consistent with the reports all offseason long but it seemed like the trade rumors were over with for at least a little while. Karl has readily denied the fact that he wants to trade Cousins but at this point it is clear that's exactly what he wants to do he just can't say it out loud just in case Cousins isn't traded and he has to coach him this season.

The likelihood remains that Cousins doesn't get traded because two of the higher ups in the organization, including the owner, are very against it. It would take a lot of convincing from these other members of the organization who reportedly want to trade Cousins to get Ranadive and Divac to part with the franchises star player.

In response to Beck's report Cousins sent out a tweet that simply reads "Blah blah blah..." to which Divac responded by tweeting "I agree...#family." Ranadive even threw in a tweet of his own saying "#WeAreFamily."

The Cousins, Karl relationship got off to the rockiest of starts but appeared to be on the mend. Now after this report who knows what's going to happen next but you can be sure that Cousins isn't happy about the rumors of him being traded resurfacing. Cousins is coming off an excellent year in which he was a first time All-Star and averaged 24.1 points and 12.7 rebounds per game in 59 contests. At age 25 he is already one of the best players in the NBA so you could understand why the Kings owner wants to hold on to him.
