Lamar Odom's health is deteriorating and sources familiar with his treatment say even if he pulls through, the former NBA player has virtually no chance of living a normal life.

Odom was hospitalized after he was found unresponsive at a Las Vegas brothel from an apparent drug overdose on Tuesday, as HNGN previously reported.

Doctors treating Odom at the Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center said his odds of survival are 50/50 and he showed "absolutely no improvement" on Thursday from the condition he was in when he was hospitalized. Odom's health is in "dire straits, according to sources, TMZ reported.

One of the main reasons behind the deterioration of his health is Lamar's potentially deadly consumption of cocaine combined with herbal Viagra, which the FDA described as "dangerous."

Odom was "entirely unresponsive" throughout Thursday and four of his vital organs are failing, with no progress. Lamar is not able to breathe on his own and doctors believe his brain function has also reduced considerably.

Doctors have told Lamar's family members that the more time that passes with Odom in his current condition, the worse the odds are that he will be able to recover.
