Pop star Ariana Grande is taking over as the new face of Mac Cosmetics' Viva Glam line, MTV reported. The "Break Free" singer is following in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus and Rihanna as the brand ambassador for Viva Glam, the Mac line and campaign that benefits men, women and children who have been affected by HIV/AIDS.
"GOOD GIRLS, BAD GIRLS, GO GLAM! Introducing #VIVAGLAM @ArianaGrande, available in select markets beginning January 2016," read the announcement posted on Mac Cosmetics' Instagram.
The line features two items, a lipstick and lip gloss designed by Grande herself. The lipstick is a dark matte shade that looks almost black in the tube, but when modeled by Grande in the Viva Glam ad, the shade looks more like a deep plum. The second item is a Mac Lipglass (named for its glass-like finish) in a blush pink shade that shimmers with gold flecks. The contrasting colors shows off the versatility of Grande's personal style.
"I am beyond honored and excited to be working with a brand that stands for and always has stood for EQUALITY," Grande wrote in her Instagram post following the Viva Glam announcement. "my lipstick & gloss will be available in January and EVERY PENNY goes to people effected by HIV & AIDS. I have loved & supported @maccosmetics ever since I was a little girl walking through the mall and saw your first #VIVAGLAM girl in the window @rupaulofficial. I'm so honored!!!"
