Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Over the summer, San Diego Comic-Con dominated the entertainment media cycle with Warner Bros.' trailers for their upcoming DC Extended Universe offerings - "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad" - becoming hot talking points. Yet since then, we haven't gotten a single frame of new footage or any new juicy tidbits of information. The studio whet our appetites but have yet to bring out the main course.

Fortunately, "Dawn of Justice" fans may not have to wait much longer. Producer Charles Roven recently spoke with Collider and revealed that new footage should be dropping in the very near future.

"Honestly, you're going to be seeing something very soon...I don't know how you define soon but certainly before the end of the year, how about that?"

Sure, we still have roughly six weeks to go in 2015, but at least this gives fans some idea of when a new trailer could be unveiled. But what type of footage will this new trailer actually include?

Obviously, the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight will be front and center. This is the first time the two goliath superheroes have shared the big screen together so that angle has naturally become a big selling point in the film's marketing campaign. But "Batman V Superman" is also dotted with new and interesting characters making their DCEU debut. Many of these characters have yet to receive a significant slice of the limelight.

Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman will join our two titular heroes while Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor will surely play a crucial role in the movie. Michael Shannon may or may not be returning as Doomsday and there could be brief cameos for Jason Momoa's Aquaman and Ezra Miller's Flash. Will the new trailer give fans a brief glimpse at any of these new characters or at least expand on the ones we've already seen? We'll just have to wait to find out.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit theaters on March 25.
