World-renowned Kpop icon Psy has returned from the longest hiatus of his career with the sorrow-filled song "Dream" featuring JYJ's Junsu, also known as Xia.
Psy dropped a teaser for his seventh album "Psyder" Thursday on his social media accounts, writing, "Dream feat. XIA of JYJ D-5!! #7thALBUM."
The teaser images show Psy pointing to a star.
The song is dedicated to revered vocalist Shin Hae Chul, according to AllKpop.
Psy revealed in the Naver V app "Psy Little Television" broadcast Wednesday that he was touched by Junsu's heartfelt performance in the heartbreaking scenes in the musical "Death Note."
Like "Death Note," "Dream" is also full of sadness, reported SBS.
"The song contained a lot of sadness and I thought long and hard of a person who could convey that," said Psy.
"Psyder" will be released on Dec. 1, a day before the much-anticipated "MNET Asian Music Awards," where Psy will perform the song.
