BioShock Infinite has been taking the gaming world by storm and living up to its predecessors since its release back in March. Now 2K and Irrational Games have announced that BioShock Infinite's Burial at Sea Episode One DLC will hit Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on Nov. 12.
According to IGN, the episode will cost $14.99 for new users. If you purchased the BioShock Infinite Season Pass, obviously, the new downloadable content will be a free download for you.
As previously announced by Irrational, Burial at Sea Episode One will see Booker and Elizabeth exploring the depths of the underwater city of Rapture the night before its fall. The new content includes additional weapons and a new plasmid as well as a complete storyline that is new to any players or fans of the original. Episode One marks the second add-on in Infinite's Season Pass. The first was called "Clash of Clouds." It was a combat DLC that came out earlier this year. Irrational currently claims that it is already working on Episode Two, which will let people play as Elizabeth for the first time.
This is the earliest version of the city of Rapture that gamers have seen since BioShock One. When gamers originally discovered the city, it was already in ruins after plasmids and Adam had turned the city into a violent splicer haven. Perhaps one of the most interesting things about the new game is seeing what these plasmids were used for before combat purposes. For example, Houdini Splicers, the ones who can teleport from place to place and cause a nightmare in a fight, were originally used as waiters so that they could give you your service that much faster.
Bioshock: Burial at Sea Episode One will no doubt be packed with many more winks to the original two games when it becomes available on Nov. 12.
