Even though Zack Snyder's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" has yet to hit the big screen (and will be squaring off with Marvel's "Daredevil" when it does), the director and most of his cast are already starting in on Part One of the highly anticipated "Justice League" series. Not a whole lot is known about the two-part "Justice League" movies, though we've compiled a list of everything we do know so far. To fan the flames of excitement, Snyder doled out some unprompted praise for Ben Affleck's Batman and teased the unknown villain of "Justice League" while speaking to The Lowdown (via Comicbook.com).

Here's what Snyder had to say:

"We're working on Justice League right now, right? In a weird way, Justice League is the next step for these characters to form a bigger team. Maybe there's a bigger enemy to fight...[Affleck] is an amazing Batman...He's a great Batman."

Who could be a bigger enemy than Doomsday? While there are certainly more cunning Big Bads from DC's iconic roster of villains (Brainiac and Darkseid come to mind), there is practically no one who can match the physical threat that Doomsday poses. The dude did kill Superman in the comics, after all. Yet obviously Snyder feels as if there are more ominous enemies out there that will require the joined strength of the Justice League. Whoever it is, they'll have to be pretty badass to convince DC's greatest superheroes to put aside their differences for the common good.

As far as Snyder's praise for Affleck, that's nothing new. Apparently, executives at Warner Bros. were so impressed with Affleck's Caped Crusader that they are making the character the crown jewel of the DC Extended Universe. Traditionally, Batman has been WB's bestselling superhero on screen so this doesn't come as a complete surprise. Still, it's nice to know that the controversial casting of Affleck is going extremely well.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit theaters on March 25. "Justice League: Part I" is scheduled for Nov. 17, 2017.
