The Man of Steel and the Dark Knight throw down in new footage from "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" that was unveiled Tuesday night on The CW as part of "DC Films Presents: The Dawn of Justice."

Directors Zack Snyder, David Ayer and Patty Jenkins discuss the connections between their respective Warner Bros. DC Extended Universe films - "Batman V Superman," "Suicide Squad" and "Wonder Woman" - in an extended segment from last night's special. Stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman) and Jesse Eiseneberg (Lex Luthor) also talk about the unique relationships between their characters.

"'Batman V Superman' begins to set the stage for 'Justice League,' when all these heroes come together and fight as a single unit," Snyder says. "Suicide Squad" director David Ayer added, "The biggest surprise for fans is going to be how interconnected these movies are."

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit theaters on March 25. "Suicide Squad" will follow on Aug. 5, and "Wonder Woman" will arrive on June 23, 2017.
