The Blacklist NBC: Who is Lucy Brooks?; Questions from 'General Ludd'

Monday’s episode of “The Blacklist” finally shed a little more light on the “Who’s the Father?” mystery.

During the episode it was revealed the man Liz called “dad” actually took her in as his own. The man, named Sam, seemingly raised Liz at the request of Red. Sam and Red also appear to be good friends. Unfortunately, Sam was dying of cancer and wanted to tell Elizabeth the truth. Red told Sam he could not allow that. Therefore, the cancer didn’t kill Sam. Red did with the help of a pillow. Now that things have changed, here are some of the questions I have:

No. 1—How long does Red expect to keep the secret of Sam’s death?

Red cares very much for Lizzie and it seems she’s actually starting to warm up to him. Therefore, finding out Red killed her dad may make Liz revert to hating Red. Does Red plan to keep the truth from Liz? Will she eventually find out on her own?

No. 2—Who is Lucy Brooks?

At the end of the episode Red entered a code into the ViCap database (Violent Criminal Apprehension Progam) and the name Lucy Brooks popped up. Who is she? What does she mean to Red? And why does she have a striking resemblance to Lizzie? Does Lizzie have an unknown sister?

No. 3—Where does Alan Alda fit into this?

TVGuide.com recently reported Alan Alda is going to play Red’s nemesis, Mr Crowley. He will threaten to take Red’s life if he tells Lizzie a certain piece of information. Since Sam is now out of the picture, the candidates for Dad are down to two. Who is Lizzie father? Raymond Reddington or Mr. Crowley?

No. 4—Does Tom know he was talking to Raymond Reddington?

When Red approched Tom outside of the hospital we know Red was aware of who he was speaking to? However, did Tom know he was talking to Red?

“The Blacklist” airs Mondays at 10/9c on NBC.
