The Gonzaga Bulldogs travel to Moody Coliseum in Dallas, Texas to face the SMU Mustang in powerhouse matchup of two dominant programs. The Mustangs can't change the fact that they are ineligible for the NCAA tournament this year, but a win over a consistent powerhouse team like Gonzaga would be a signature win for head coach Larry Brown. The Bulldogs currently sit in first place in the West Coast Conference, but they are not nationally ranked and only have a game-and-a-half lead over Saint Mary's at the top of the conference.

Gonzaga head coach Mark Few has his squad playing some of their best basketball recently and is looking to pick up a win against a nationally ranked opponent in the Mustangs. The Bulldogs are on a six-game winning streak and will look senior forward Kyle Wiltjer to lead the way Saturday night. Wiltjer is Gonzaga's top scorer, and he is averaging 21.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.

Wiltjer and sophomore forward Domantas Sabonis are big on the glass for the Bulldogs, as the 6-foot-11 sophomore is averaging 11.5 rebounds per game. The Bulldogs are looking to get back to the NCAA Tournament, and while they know that winning their conference tournament is a guaranteed way to make it back to the big dance, beating SMU would be a huge win on their resume.

The Mustangs are coming off a tough loss against AAC opponent Tulsa this past Wednesday and have taken all three of their losses this season in the past five games. Brown will look for his team to bounce back with a big win over Gonzaga, and he will want his team to finish the season strong.

Senior guard Nic Moore is the leader on the court for the Mustangs and is averaging a team high in both assists (4.9) and points (16.3). Both Moore and senior forward Jordan Tolbert will look to make an impact on both sides of the court and will want to finish their senior season strong in their final seven games.
