An Oregon couple reportedly left a bag filled with methamphetamine as a tip for a waitress in Seaside.
40-year-old Beaverton resident Ryan L. Benson and Erica A. Manley, 37, of Cascade Locks, were arrested for allegedly leaving meth on the table after dining at coastal steakhouse Twisted Fish.
The waitress, whose identity has not yet been publicized, picked up the couple's check after they'd paid for their drinks, and found an envelope that held what appeared to be a crystal-like substance along with it, according to the Daily Astorian.
Police arrived at the restaurant shortly thereafter to conduct a test on the material, which came back positive as methamphetamine. Officers arrested Manley and Bensen, and found much more meth in Manley's purse.
Law enforcement then located the couple's motel and car - upon searching the digs, police discovered what they thought was a stockpile of methamphetamine, along with certain items that indicated the duo intended to deliver the drugs.
Both Bensen and Manley were arrested for possession and manufacture of meth, while Manley was also taken in for the alleged delivery of meth.
The drugs were transferred to a state crime lab for further tests, the Astorian reported.
