A new poll shows that democracy is teetering as political troubles shake Americans, fearing President Joe Biden is weaponizing the government to prevent self-inflicted defeat.

They are concerned that the US democracy is crumbling as a result of the weaponization of US agencies to serve the whims of a White House that has created uncertainty through its flimsy policies.

Survey Shows Biden's Satisfaction Dropped

The drop in confidence in Biden's term has increased by nine points since January, reported RT.

According to a Quinnipiac University poll released on Wednesday, two out of every three US citizens (67%) believe US democracy is in jeopardy with the Democrats. The indicator prompted the nine-point increase in January of this year.

Voters on both sides share fear for the long term of US democracy, with 72% of registered Democrats and 70% of registered Republicans, and 69% of independents disclosing fear for its decline.

In the meantime, the new poll shows more than three-quarters of women are genuinely worried about the country's future as a democratic republic, while only 58% of men are, and whites are one percent more likely to fear failure than blacks (70% vs. 69%).

This is not the first poll to show that the American voting public is extremely worried about the survival of the sovereign state due to political troubles, which is essentially a constitutional republic instead of a true democracy.

According to an NBC News survey done last week, a little over one-fifth (21%) of the voting public rated threats to democracy as their top concern, with high living costs and the economic recession emerging in second and third, respectively, noted the Hill.

The topic of US democracy in grave danger has been getting a lot of attention lately, with US President Joe Biden categorizing followers of former President Donald Trump as an "extremist danger to democracy" for whom the philosophy constitutes "semi-fascism" throughout a meeting with financial backers last month.

True to form, Donald Trump slammed Joe Biden and his Democratic allies for using the presidency to target political rivals. The straw that broke the camel's back was the dubious FBI raid on an ex-president. This raid on Mar-a-Lago for alleged documents exemplifies the Democrats' determination to prevent him from trouncing anyone in 2024.

Based on the Quinnipiac poll, 62% of survey participants do not wish to see Trump try for an electoral comeback in 2024, and 67% do not want to see Biden attempt to maintain the presidency.

Possible 2024 Bid for the White House

No one knows if the 45th President of the United States will run in 2024, giving shivers to an already shaky Democratic front. Even Biden claims he can take on Trump, but nothing is certain, citing Hi India.

The former president, Trump, said he would "very favorably" consider pardoning his supporters who were convicted of taking part in the Capitol Hill riot on January 6.

Although none have been found guilty of the crime of "insurrection," more than 370 rioters have been.

No one connected to the day's actions has been charged with the crime of insurrection, which Democrats and journalists commonly use to characterize the unrest.

This new poll critically pans the Biden presidency as the developing threat to democracy, evidenced by political troubles and crises hobbling America.
