Russia indicated to Turkey that the Kurdish issue must be dealt with so as not to raise tensions and also consider a diplomatic solution to the problem.

Turkey Needs To Consider Diplomatic Solution

Alexander Lavrentyev, the Russian leader's special envoy in Syria, requested Turkey to act responsibly to stop the escalation of tensions, not just in the Northern and Northeastern regions of Syria but all over the entire region, as shown by RIA media outlet, reported Fars News.

He emphasized the importance of finding a diplomatic solution to the Kurdish issue and clarified that Moscow was glad to engage with all relevant parties, adding that Ankara should be able to stop implementing excessive for in Syria.

The special envoy of Russia was adamant that part of the problem is the US presence and its troop, which is illegal; also one of the reasons why the region is unstable, and that needs a diplomatic solution.

Lavrentyev was critical that the US military leave the Northeastern part of the country as a release valve for the tense atmosphere.

He made his remarks after Turkish fighter jets struck 89 targets in Syria and Iraq last Sunday, which had been allegedly linked to the YPG and the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

Such groups are perceived as terrorist organizations by Turkey, which maintains them answerable for the Istanbul bomb blast on November 13, which left 81 people injured and six killed, noted Reuters.

Russia Asks To Tamp Down Tension on the Kurdish Issue

After the alleged Kurdish militant bombardments of the Turkish city of Karkamis, which caused the deaths of three civilians, the Turkish military declared last Monday that its ordnance would also join so-called Operation Claw-Sword.

Turkey stated to have already killed 184 terrorists. Three Kurdish fighters, 11 dead, and nine injured civilians, but also heavy casualties among the Syrian Arab Army had all been disclosed by the Kurdish Rojava Information Center.

Aram Hanna, a spokesperson for the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), has charged Turkey with war crimes and said its air force had conducted double-tap strikes, attacking rescue workers turning up at the site of the original assault.

Turkish troops have not traversed into Syria or Iraq as a component of Ankara's operation, but Erdogan has already said that 'Claw-Sword' would entail more than air raids.

Ankara Reportedly Eliminates 1,400 Terrorists

Turkish Armed Forces had neutralized 1,441 PKK militants in northern Iraq during its Operation Claw series, citing Anadolu.

Terrorist strongholds in northern Iraq had been devastated throughout a series of operations after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan proclaimed a new security principle had already been formed in the war against terror.

Initially, the claw series's starting operation began three years back. The green light was granted on May 27, 2019, for the operation focused on the caves and shelters used by the PKK terrorist group in the Hakurk territory.

After the defined terrorist targets were effectively taken under control, the new phase of the operation started in earnest.

To enlarge the activities against terrorist lairs, Operation Claw-2 was initiated. In Operation Claw-1 and Operation Claw-2, Turkish troops killed 126 and 102 terrorists, in both.

Russia asked Turkey that a diplomatic solution is better to resolve the Kurdish issue, and force should be tempered not to increase tensions.
