Yosef Haim Ben-David, 31, was sentenced for killing 16- year-old Mohammed Abu Khdeir, and was also given 20 years for other crimes. Abu Khdeir was kidnapped by Ben-David and two young accomplices from Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem on July 2, 2014 and beaten. His burned body was found hours later in a forest in the western part of the city.
Yossi, a relative of the Bibas Silverman Family, saw the horrible video of the abduction of his family in Kibbutz Nir Oz, which led him to speak up about the incident.
The video struck him, knowing his family was one of the hostages, so Yossi reached out to help victims and their families.
Abducted Israeli Family Member Wants to Fight Palestinians
According to Sky News, the merciless footage of the abduction of the Bibas Silverman family tormented Yossi. He recognized his relatives in the video and named them one by one.
In the video, Yossi saw Shiri, his cousin, and her two children. At first, he said he could not believe it, but he did a second look to confirm they were his relatives. The family still has not heard from the Palestinians and their government about his family's situation.
Yossi fears that they have separated them. Yossi protests to make the government give him answers.
"I want to go and fight," Yossi stated on Sky News. He decided to fight for his country and said that his family and friends would do the same.

Bibas Silverman Family Abduction
In the recent breakout from Gaza, Hamas separated and abducted several families. Men, women, and children were raped, murdered, shot, and robbed. The Palestinians abducted and filmed the Bibas Silverman family, one of the worst cases of three generations in the same family being abducted.
The Palestinians uploaded the video for the world to see, so family members reacted, including Yossi. The video shows a frightened mother trying to protect her two children from armed men surrounding them.
The mother's name is Shiri, and her two sons are Ariel, 4, and Kfir, who is only nine months old. While the Palestinians are on a continuous rampage, the Israeli military to provide first aid is still nowhere to be found per Channel 103.
"We had the fence on Gaza, we had walls on Gaza, intelligence, we have the military, we have planes, we have helicopters, we have tanks, we have everything, and the IDF for the first couple of hours is not there, it's like we had no army," Yossi said.
Yossi is a reservist in a combat regiment and is activated to bring down the Palestinians and save people taken by Hamas. Unfortunately, despite alarming abduction cases, there was still no available information about the current status of the hostages.
