Michael Bolton recently shared the news of his brain cancer diagnosis, which led to him undergoing urgent surgery right before the holidays.
The renowned singer, aged 70, who had previously appeared on The Masked Singer last year, shared a heartfelt message on his Facebook page on Friday, updating his fans about his health.

Per USA Today, Michael Bolton expressed his intention to focus on his recovery and temporarily step away from touring. The performer conveyed his immense gratitude for the overwhelming love and support he has received from his fans over the years.
In a statement posted on Instagram, he said: "Just before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumour, which required immediate surgery.
"Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success. I am now recuperating at home and surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family."
Many social media users flocked to the comment section to express their love and send their best wishes to the singer-songwriter as he dedicates himself to his recovery.
According to the singer's official website, the renowned artist has a series of tour dates lined up for 2024. The concerts were initially planned to kick off on February 1 in Florida.
The celebrity had a jam-packed 2023, including a memorable stint on The Masked Singer as the Wolf, and a captivating performance during the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade last month in December.
During a pre-recorded special, Julianne Hough and her brother Derek Hough hosted as Bolton performed the timeless song, 'Joy To The World.' In June 2023, Michael Bolton unveiled his latest album, 'Spark Of Light,' featuring standout tracks like Beautiful World and Just The Beginning.
Bolton had a scheduled performance on 1 February at the Murray Theater at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Florida. He had a total of six tour dates in February, followed by three in both March and April.
The status of Bolton's performance at the London O2 Arena on 25 July, alongside special guest Bonnie Tyler, remains uncertain at this time.

According to People, Bolton discussed the album's message of finding happiness and positivity in difficult times. The performer also discussed his experience as a father and emphasized the significance of family. He is known for having daughters Isa, Holly, and Taryn with his ex-wife Maureen McGuire.
The couple were married from 1975 until their divorce was finalized in 1990. The singer is also blessed with six grandchildren.
He later discussed the importance of not taking life too seriously, emphasizing that the real fun begins when you "learn to let go of things...I still have plenty of energy and don't see myself slowing down anytime soon."
