The decomposed body of an infant was found in Kentucky and authorities say the remains are consistent with 8-month-old Miya Rudd.

Kentucky State Police troopers found the remains concealed in the Ohio county home of her parents, Tesla Tucker, 29, and Cage Rudd, 30, at approximately 1:15 p.m. on June 14, according to a release.

The remains were taken to the Ohio County Coroner's Office and then transfered to the Kentucky Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville.

Mother Tesla Tucker, 29 of Reynolds Station; father Cage C. Rudd, 30 of Reynolds Station; grandfather Ricky J. Smith, 56 of Reynolds Station and Brodie C. Payne, 28 of Reynolds Station were all charged with Abuse of a Corpse; Tampering with Physical Evidence and Failure of Person to Report the Death of a Person.

Authorities had been investigating Miya's disappearance after family members said they hadn't seen the child since April.

Tucker and Rudd were arrested amid the frantic search, as were paternal grandparents Ricky Smith and Billie Rudd Smith, and maternal grandparents Taletha Tucker and David Tucker.

Tucker and Rudd had been previously charged with child abandonment and drug possession, among other offenses, police said in their June 6 statement.

Alexis Stinnett, who has identified herself as Miya's aunt, recently set up a GoFundMe in an effort to raise funds for Miya's three siblings.
