A man was taken into custody in the knifepoint rape of a 13-year-old girl in a New York City park, the NYPD announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The development in the disturbing case — which one police called a "satanic incident" — came after authorities on Monday night released images of the suspected rapist, identified as Christian Geovanny Inga, riding a bicycle.

Inga is a migrant from Ecuador who entered the U.S. in 2021 with his daughter, officials said at a news conference announcing the arrest.

Fellow residents of a rooming house in Queens recognized him in the images released by police and attacked the man, with one calling 911 and saying cops should "come get him.".

.

The attack on the girl took place Thursday afternoon in Kissena Park in Queens, where the girl and a 13-year-old boy were confronted by a man wielding a knife who forced them into a wooded area.

The assailant, who has a tattoo of a boar with red eyes on his chest, tied the children's wrists together, then assaulted the girl and stole both kids' phones.
