Nick Lachey hasn't spoken to his ex-wife, Jessica Simpson, in six years, he told Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live."
The 98 Degrees star appeared on the show live with his boy band where he answered fan and interviewer questions. When asked about his current relationship with Simpson, he referred to his marriage to her as happening a "lifetime ago." But he also joked about his right to plead the fifth when speaking about anything to do with the singer.
The couple, who exchanged nuptuals in 2002, publically displayed their young marriage on the MTV reality show "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica." They then divorced in 2005.
Lachey joked when asked what he missed about having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law. Lachey's brother Drew chimed in and said the singer missed nothing about it.
When Bravo show host Andy Cohen asked Lachey if he reminisces and watches the reality show that put the couple in America's living rooms, he responded jokingly.
"I have not. As you can imagine, that's not popular viewing in my house," he said. "You know, we don't sit around as a family and watch the old DVDs."
Lachey went on to date Vanessa Minnillo and eventually marry in 2011. The two welcomed a son last year, Camden John.
Minnillo opened up candidly about being a new mom in March to USWeekly Magazine. She admitted to having the baby blues, feeling unloved, lost and alone, but being a mother is the only thing she had ever wanted. Lachey recently released an album of lullaby tunes.
Simpson is currently engaged to NFL player Eric Johnson. The two have a daughter, Maxwell, and are expecting their second child.
