Get your popcorn ready, Marvel fans, because the Queen Bee may be joining the MCU.

Beyoncé is reportedly interested in getting back into feature films and she may do it as a popular comic book character, The Daily Star reports. The singer/actress is rumored to be in talks with Marvel and Disney for a prime role.

The Daily Star reports that producers want Beyoncé to join the cast of "The Avengers" series following the box office success ($1.3 billion worldwide and counting) of "Age of Ultron." The outlet reports that Marvel believes that Beyoncé, 33, could pair with Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) to bring in even more female fans to the already extremely successful franchise.

"The Avengers" series still has two films - "Infinity Wars Part II & II" - coming in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Further solo films are planned for Phase III of Marvel's movie slate which will kick off after next month's "Ant-Man."

"We would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel's existing catalogue of comic book character," a senior executive at Disney said.

Beyoncé previously appeared in the Austin Powers film "Goldmember" and the 2006 musical drama "Dreamgirls" so it's not as if she is a complete stranger to the big screen. However, it is unknown which character she would portray in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The female led "Captain Marvel" role has most closely been linked to Charlize Theron and Emily Blunt so an as-of-now unannounced character seems to be the best bet for Bey's potential debut.
