A TV news crew in Pittsburg saved a man's life from an overdose on Wednesday by calling 911 and performing CPR prior to the arrival of emergency responders.

WPXI Channel 11 news photographer Dave Clark saw the man in question slumped in the steering wheel and was not breathing as he was preparing for a news segment.

"I look back, his head's back. He's purple. I tried shaking him, yelling, 'Hey, dude,'" Clark said.

He was caught on camera shaking the man while yelling: "Talk to me! You better live because I'm not going home tonight thinking this guy died on me."

Clark then pulled the man out of the car and immediately conducted CPR while his co-worker and reporter Cara Sapida called 911, according to NBC News.

Washington Police Officer Matt Karlowsky, who was at the scene, said that the man would have died had Clark not administered CPR before police and paramedics arrived.

The man, who had actually overdose on heroin, was revived after they administered a dose of Narcan, Washington Police Chief Chris Lupino told Channel 11 News, WPXI-TV reported.
