Nicole Kidman is reportedly pressing charges against a paparazzo following an accident that knocked the actress down on the sidewalk.

This is certainly not what actress Nicole Kidman had expected after attending a Calvin Klein fashion show downtown in Tribeca. The "Eyes Wide Shut" actress decided on taking a car from the event venue to Carlyle Hotel in uptown Manhattan. Just as she was about to enter the hotel, she encountered a bizarre collision with an Australian photographer identified as Carl Wu.

The photographer was on his bicycle and in a hurried attempted to capture a shot of the actress, cycled towards her at a speed of nearly 20 miles per hour. Just as he approached Kidman, he lost control of his cycle and dashed into the actress, knocking her to the ground. (The Kidman effect, eh?)

An embarrassed and hurt Kidman was helped up by her bodyguard and publicist. An eyewitness of the incident confirmed that though the "Playboy" actress looked hurt, there was no sign of blood. The actress was heard screaming "Oh my God!" and "Ow ow ow" as she rushed into the hotel, according to a report by US Magazine.

"She looked hurt, but there wasn't any blood," the observer said. "She put her shoes back on and ran into the Carlyle."

The photographer was served with a ticket and then taken to the police station. According to the witness, the photographer's brakes completely gave way, making him lose control of the bike.

Kidman, on the other hand, is reportedly considering pressing charges against the paparazzo.

This isn't the first time Wu had a run-in with Hollywood celebs. He was previously cited in a blog blog called "F**k You Carl Wu," after an incident where he tried to capture a picture of Lady Gaga at a hotel in Boston, June 2010.
