The Croatian national team has fired head coach Niko Kovac, according to Bleacher Report. This news coming after a poor run of form by the European side that is in trouble of not qualifying for the 2016 EURO's in France.

A driving force behind Kovac being sacked were the 0-0 draw with Azerbaijan and a 2-0 loss to Norway in their recent EURO qualifying matches, according to BBC Sport. Croatia sits in third place after losing to Norway and could miss the tournament with only two games left to play.

Kovac had led his home national for two years and even helping them qualify for the 2014 World Cup. Although Croatia did not make it out of their group, there were moments of brilliance that made fans trust in Kovac as their manager.

Firing a national team manager when a major tournament qualification is on the line can make or break a country. Croatia is only one point out of qualifying for the tournament and has two matches left to overtake one of the top two spots.

The want to impress a new coach is the only driving force behind the Croatian national team moving forward. If the team fails to qualify for the EURO's, that will reflect poorly on the management who fired Kovac.
