Former British prime minister Tony Blair's daughter was held up at gunpoint during an attempted armed robbery in London, but managed to escape the event unscathed.
25-year-old lawyer Kathryn Blair was walking around the chic central London district of Marylebone, boyfriend, friends and dog in tow, when two men, one wielding a gun, demanded money and jewelry from her.
A spokesperson for the Blair family released an official statement Wednesday saying that the two men didn't get a dime off of Kathryn, and that she was shaken, but unharmed.
"Kathryn was with a group of friends. No one was hurt and nothing was stolen," the spokesperson told AFP.
Half an hour before Kathryn was accosted by the two men, the London Metropolitan Police reported that two men pulled a gun on a victim in Ivor Place, Marylebone.
"The victims were a man and a woman; the suspects were two males," a spokesperson told the Independent. "On both occasions a firearm was seen but not used - no shots were fired. None of the victims were injured and nothing was stolen during the incidents."
Police believed the two incidents were linked, and stated that it didn't appear as though Kathryn's assailants targeted her for who she was.
Westminster officials are currently investigating both attempted robberies.
Blair was prime minister for 10 years, presiding over the center-left Labor party from 1997 to 2007 after winning three elections consecutively.
