Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo is not leaving town anytime soon. Not unless a team wants to play the 1 billion Euro price tag placed on him, according to ESPN FC.

Why so high, you ask? That is the price of the release clause in Ronaldo's contract with Madrid. Never has a release clause been such a tall order. The only reason for this recent talk of Ronaldo leaving Madrid is due to Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain which wants to secure his services.

If there was ever a club to make a realistic run for Ronaldo, PSG is it. The financial backing for the French super giant is second to none and makes it the only club able to sign Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is only 10 goals away from breaking former Madrid star Raul's goal-scoring record of 323, according to Bleacher Report. A man known for his love of the spotlight would surely break the record and likely establish a larger more insurmountable one himself.

It seems like every two years, PSG is rumored to be making a run for Ronaldo, when the money it offers could be put toward six or seven great players instead of one elite player. January is only a few months away, so keep a watchful eye on what PSG and Ronaldo decide.
