Kate Walsh and Chris Case are over. A source confirmed to Us Weekly that the longtime couple, who had been dating since 2011, broke up a couple of months ago, but the split was amicable.
"They are just in different places in their lives and it wasn't working. Kate has been upset but trying to get over it," the source said.
The two were last seen together in April, walking the red carpet at the Chrysler John Varvatos 12th Annual Stuart House Benefit in L.A. They made their first outing as a couple back in August 2011 to watch Adele's concert at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.
The 47-year-old "Private Practice" joked during an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in April about her former writer-producer beau being allergic to her cats. The actress also revealed that she and Case had plans to develop their own show together.
"My boyfriend's highly allergic and it's ridiculous," Walsh joked at the time. "His tune changed once we were like, 'Maybe there's some sort of job here for these cats.' And suddenly his tune started to change. We are making an animated series called Cat Stories."
Walsh was previously married to Alex Young, but the two split in 2008 after 15 months together.
