Microsoft has projected Xbox One as a complete entertainment package rather than just a gaming console and the company keeps on adding features to make it more accessible as a communication and interactive device. Xbox Fitness , an online service was added to the console,Thursday.

Xbox Fitness is an online library that contains interactive videos from world's best fitness brands and comes with a premium offer for Xbox One Gold subscribers. The Gold subscribers will be able to enjoy unlimited access to the fitness program through December 2014. Xbox Fitness includes some of the top leading fitness personalities- Tony Horton (P90X) , ShaunT (Insanity), Jillian Michaels, and Tracy Anderson.

What makes the Xbox Fitness different from other health apps is its interactiveness. "What makes Xbox Fitness so innovative is the feedback it gives you. The Kinect sensor can evaluate your form, tell how high you're jumping, how hard you're punching and even read your heart rate," said Shaun T, fitness trainer for Insanity, one of the hardest workout programs, in a recent post on Xbox Wire. "It's that little missing piece of validation that hasn't been possible for home fitness products before. Xbox Fitness completes the puzzle."

Xbox Fitness will act like a personalized fitness guide with suggestions for individual workout programs based on calisthenics history and past performance. It will update user's fitness program with content that other Xbox Fitness holders are following.

Xbox Fitness will motivate its users by integrating with Xbox Live, which will pose challenges and compare scores with other fitness users online to push them further.

Kinect will help the Xbox Fitness keep a check on heart beats including micro fluctuations from a distance of 10 feet. It also has muscle mapping, which helps in shaping and toning, reports Slashgear.

The Xbox Fitness will release on the same date as Xbox One on November 22, 2013.
