Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is unlikely to play this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.

Roethlisberger is in his fourth week of rehabbing since spraining his MCL against the St. Louis Rams in week three. Offensive coordinator Todd Haley told reporters that he is planning on Landry Jones starting Sunday against the Chiefs, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

The Steelers lost second-string quarterback Mike Vick to a small hamstring tear that will keep him out "at least a week," according to CBSSports.com. Jones got the most out of his opportunity against the Cardinals, as he threw 168 yards with two touchdowns. The Steelers drafted Jones in the fourth round in the 2013 NFL Draft, and the former Sooner is showing how talented he can be.

The Steelers have gone 2-1 without Roethlisberger, and head coach Mike Tomlin will probably play it safe with his franchise quarterback. Roethlisberger may try to convince his coaches that he is ready to play, as he is known to battle through injuries.

The Steelers are 4-2 on the season and trail two games behind the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC North. The Steelers could rest Roethlisberger this weekend in hopes that he will be ready against the Bengals the following week. Jones will need to make the most of his opportunity this weekend, as he is likely auditioning for the rest of the NFL.
