"The Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons got very emotional when "Long Island Medium" star Theresa Caputo connected him and his sister Julie Pruski with their late father on an upcoming edition of the show.

Parsons and Pruski's father died in a car accident in 2001, leaving behind his wife and two children, according to Entertainment Tonight. When the two sat down with Caputo, she was able to make a connection with the actor's father.

"Our father was very hard working," Parsons said. "He was very loyal. His family was the most important thing to him, bar none."

"It was very intense and very moving," Parsons told ET after he met with Caputo. "She's the right medium - I guess you would say - to get across some deep messages. I just love her. I was only sorry when we had to stop."

Parsons and his sister were both blown away after the "Long Island Medium" star saw the father hand their mother red roses and asked about August, the month their parents got married.

"When Theresa talked about red roses and August I knew that's my parents' anniversary," she said in a clip. "Red roses - that's the flower he gave her!"

Parsons appearance on the TLC show is part of a special episode where Caputo did readings for celebrities including "Today" host Natalie Morales, Susan Lucci and Jamie-Lynn Sigler.

Morales' reading with Caputo was just as emotional as Parsons was. The host admitted to some "trepidation and some skepticism" before she met with Caputo, but was crying by the end of the session, according to Today.

The celebrity filled episode kicks off the second half of the sixth season of "Long Island Medium," which premieres Jan. 3 on TLC.
