It was a pretty eventful day in the MLB. The 2016 Hall of Fame class was announced. The Kansas City Royals re-signed Alex Gordon. Trade rumors surrounded Miami Marlins outfielder Marcell Ozuna.

All of that overshadowed the minor signings of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Milwaukee Brewers.

The news of Milwaukee signing former Houston Astros first baseman Chris Carter is the most recent. The Brewers announced the move about an hour ago, but did not disclose the financial terms.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal says the one-year deal is worth $2.5 million with $500K in incentives.

Carter, 29, was non-tendered by the Astros back in December. The veteran has clubbed 90 home runs and 234 RBI in three seasons with Houston, but his .218 batting average over that span was not very attractive, as he was due for a raise in arbitration up from his $4.175 million salary in 2015.

In Pittsburgh, the Pirates announced the signing of reliever Neftali Feliz. The 27-year-old spent the 2015 season with the Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers. He finished just 3-4 with a 6.38 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 39 strikeouts in 48 innings.

Jon Heyman says the deal is worth $3.9 million in addition to incentives.

Feliz, despite struggling last season, was an All-Star in 2010 and pitched extremely well before undergoing Tommy John surgery during the 2012 season. He rebounded well in 2014 as well, but he'll have to work on his struggles from 2015.

And finally, the Dodgers announced the signing of pitcher Brandon Beachy to a one-year deal. The right-hander spent the 2015 season with Los Angeles, but made just two starts in his return from a second Tommy John surgery.

Heyman reported the contract guarantees Beachy $1.5 million in addition to a $250K roster bonus, a $2.75 million incentive for games started and a $750K incentive for overall games pitched.

We're also waiting on an official announcement from the Dodgers regarding the signing of Kenta Maeda, so stay tuned for further updates.
