Players don't get to choose where they land in the NFL Draft, but that doesn't mean they can't have preferred destinations. For Alabama Crimson Tide running back Derrick Henry, he knows who he'd pick as his NFL home were he given the choice - the Dallas Cowboys.

Henry, this year's Heisman Trophy-winner and a National Champion after Alabama knocked off Clemson in the title game last week, held a press conference on Friday to announce his intention to enter the 2016 NFL Draft. At the press conference Henry told reporters that if he was given a choice, he'd want to wind up with the Cowboys.

Of course, that matters little in the grand scheme of things, but its interesting and likely alluring for Cowboys fans. Henry is a tall, punishing runner, something akin to former Dallas ballcarrier and current Philadelphia Eagle, DeMarco Murray.

Murray led the league in rushing in 2014 when he was running behind the uber-talented Cowboys offensive line, though he fell back to earth this year in Philly. And the Cowboys, expected by many to draft a running back high in last year's draft, went home from Chicago empty-handed.

Their running back rotation wound up being led by Raiders castoff Darren McFadden, who finished the season with a respectable 1,089 yards and three touchdowns rushing on 239 attempts, after Joseph Randle failed to make an impact (and keep his nose clean) and in-season additions like Christine Michael added little production to the Dallas offense.

Henry, who also told reporters that he had received a second-round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Board, would presumably have a good chance of shattering McFadden's mark were he to line up in the Cowboys backfield next to a healthy Tony Romo next season.
