Battlefield 4 by Dice that made its debut last month is reportedly collapsing on many of the PS4 consoles while the players are only half way through the game. An Error CE-34878-0 pops up in the middle of the game

The glitches in Battlefield 4 have been reported by many PlayStation 4 users, according to PS 4 Daily. As soon as the players save a file for the game and go on to the next level the file immediately gets corrupted and the players are advised to delete the entire progress.

The game publisher EA, initially tried to pass on the blame to Sony claiming the disruption to be a PS4 firmware issue but later withdrew the statement.

However, this is not the only version of the game that's in trouble due to in-game bugs as the PC version of Battlefield 4 also faced similar crash issues since its Oct. launch. Dice and EA together managed to solve the problems with the PC version by releasing a patch, which improved network syncing, latency and graphics.

There is a temporary fix for the present problem as revealed by a Reddit user. The steps are as follows:

Step 1: Go to Settings and sign out from the PlayStation Network.

Step 2: Now on the offline mode, start the game again.

Step 3: Go to the main menu, tap the PS button, go to your profile and log in to PS Network.

Step 4: Select multiplayer and begin playing.

Step 5: Play for a few rounds and save the progress until CE-34878-0 error pops up.

Step 6: Follow Step 1 again and you can start playing the game with the progress saved, without starting the game all over again from the beginning.

The above fix will not solve the problem completely, but it will resolve the disruptions to a certain extent caused by game crashing and allow the gamers to continue with the progress.

It's widely expected that Dice will release a patch for the PS4 version of the game to rid it of such interruptions.
