'Girl Meets World' is currently one of the most popular series on the Disney Channel. Currently on it's third season, final episodes will be aired early 2017. But despite its popularity, there is still no word from Disney if the series will be renewed for season 4. This led to speculation from fans that 'Girl Meets World' is about to end soon.

Cast all grown up

Fans and followers of the Disney series said that with the cast now all grown up and going to college the series may not be suitable for young Disney viewers and hence it may not be renewed.

Reports said that the cast have already finished filming for season 3 but still Disney has not announced a renewal for next season

Online petition from fans and cast revelations online

Fans started an online petition asking if the show could be aired on Freeform instead of Disney considering that there could be more mature topics at hand. This online petition is now over but still Disney has not responded to their cause.

Another online petition was started at Change.org regarding fans' request for season 4. The petition now has more than 16,000 supporters and will soon reach its 25,000 mark. Again, Disney has not responded to this petition.

Uriah Justus, one of the casts of 'Girl Meets World' recently posted a picture of the season finale of the show with a caption that said goodbye. Fans immediately reacted to this post and hinted that the series may not be able to air its 4th season. Fans also speculated that Justus may not appear next season despite its renewal.

Rift between Disney and cast members

Another theory as to why Disney is not renewing 'Girl Meets World' is that cast members Sabrina Carpenter and Rowan Blanchard's firing back at the company. Reports surfaced that attitude problems with the two are causing the cancellation of the series. This was strongly denied by the actresses.

Possible 'Boy Meets World'

With the possibility of 'Girl Meets World' not being renewed, reports hinted that Disney could be replacing it with a spinoff with a title 'Boy Meets World.' Disney has not commented on this possible spinoff but merely announced that there would be something special in store for fans come Halloween.

'Girl Meets World' is still airing its third season. Its Halloween special will be on October 14 on the Disney Channel.
