The parents of a 16-year-old Georgia girl who has gone missing think she was targeted and perhaps kidnapped by individuals she met online.

Kaylee Jones, who has special needs and has been missing for two weeks, was last seen on June 16 in the remote region of Whooping Creek Church Road.

Missing Georgia Teen Suspected To Be a Victim of Sex Trafficking

The Joneses explained that two days before Kaylee's disappearance they confiscated her phone in an attempt to discipline their daughter, at which point Kaylee turned to her laptop and began communicating with strangers on chatrooms like Omegle - a service that allows users to share direct messages or video chat with one another anonymously

Kaylee revealed sensitive information to several of the males she was talking to online, including her family's address, according to her parents. She probably climbed out of her second-story window at their house on June 16 and fled their neighborhood without any method of communicating with her family because her phone had been taken. Since then, they have been looking for their daughter, Fox News reported.

According to WGCL-TV, parents Daniel and Brenda Jones are concerned that their autistic daughter may have been a victim of sex traffickers after meeting internet users with malicious intent. The parents reportedly took away their daughter's phone two days before she vanished.

As reported by WAGA-TV, the Jones family stated Kaylee was "vulnerable" to "Internet grooming." Kaylee's parents said "good night" to their daughter on June 14, only to find her bed vacant the next morning.

Carroll County officials say they are staying busy by reviewing data from Kaylee's electronic devices and have been in contact with those she last had communication with on those devices.

Kaylee Jones' Details

The sheriff's office stated in an update on June 20 that there were many unknowns in the case, such as where Kaylee may have been traveling, what she was wearing, and who may have accompanied her. They did note, though, that Kaylee might conceivably be with someone she met through certain online apps.

Kaylee is 5'8" tall and weighs roughly 135 pounds. She had brown hair and brown eyes, and she was maybe carrying a dark blue book bag with a horse on the front. The bag may bear the words "Mazi" or "Kaylee," and relatives believe she was wearing black tennis shoes or Converse sneakers.

Since Kaylee's disappearance, the CCSO in Georgia has received countless tips, but none have been verified, according to law authorities.

"It's heartbreaking knowing she's out there someplace and not knowing where she is," Kaylee's father remarked. "All of our darkest fears come to mind. She is our daughter, and we are frantic to reclaim her. "She is a large part of us," as per Oxygen

Carroll County officials say she is without a vehicle or a phone. Anyone with information is urged to contact Investigator Kim Briggs at 1-770-830-5916 or e-mail her at kbiggs@carrollsheriff.com.
