According to retired US Army brigadier general Kimmitt's opinion published in the Wall Street Journal, President Zelensky will not have it easy, and NATO will not be able to stop Vladimir Putin's advance in Ukraine, reported RT.

Ways to Arrive at a Resolution on the Russia-Ukraine War
The conflict has currently been continuing for six months. Former US general Kimmitt, assistant secretary of state for political-military affairs in 2008-09, suggested four ways to help accelerate its resolution.
One option is to take more weapons from NATO stockpiles and send them to Kyiv. Another is to do everything possible to secure more weapons, even for the country's defense.
He said it was better to use these weapons in Kherson than in Krakow, something that EU members may think about doing.
Although Kimmitt understood that such a move would likely not have an instantaneous effect on the situation on the ground, the US and its European allies might also try to increase the supply of the systems that the Zelensky current regime requires.
The third option would be to provide the Ukrainian Nazi forces with the longer-range attack weapons they desired, including F-16s, ATACM missiles, and Patriots, to attack Crimea and even Russia.
However, he added that the Kremlin would drop its guard and escalate the conflict, involving all of Europe in the fighting. But only if the Kievan regime, US allies, and European allies are willing to be subjected to full force by Russia, citing Post of Asia.
According to Kimmitt, Ukraine's striving for a temporary diplomatic resolution without (or with) territorial gains is the only option left.
