Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claims that Russia plans to employ Iranian missiles for potential assaults on the country's infrastructure, particularly its energy sector.

According to Zelensky in his evening speech on Sunday, more over 4.5 million customers in Kyiv and six other districts have already lost power as a result of Russian attacks.

Iran Admits to Providing Drones to Russia

Additionally, he said that Russians "used Iranian attack drones again" on Sunday, although he did not go into greater detail. It would be the first time that Iran sent highly modern precision guided missiles to Russia, which might offer the Russian military a significant advantage, as per CNN.

As a result, the shipment is being closely watched. Since Russia began its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in late February, Iranian drones have become a crucial factor in the battle.

Zelensky informed the Ukrainian people that while the Iranian government says it gave a few drones to Russia before that country's full-scale invasion of Ukraine started in February, he is aware that this is untrue. He said that at least ten Iranian drones are shot down by Ukrainian forces every day, and despite Tehran's silence on the subject, officials are aware that Iranian instructors have taught the Russians how to handle the drones.

The first drones were sent to Russia on Saturday, according to Iran's foreign minister, who also noted that the supplies took place before to the commencement of the conflict. A drone shipment to Russia was previously rejected by Iranian officials, The Hill reported.

According to the foreign minister, Iran is unaware of how drones are being utilized in Ukraine. Official silence in the confrontation between Russia and Ukraine has been upheld by Tehran.

Zelensky Accuses Russia of Energy 'Terrorism'

Russian drone attacks on military and civilian targets have continued throughout the war, and rumors suggest that Iranian drones have been ordered to assault Kyiv. In the current world, "there will be no such thing as any terrorist or any of their accomplices going unpunished," Zelensky said.

While most of the intense combat in Ukraine is located in the country's east and south, the capital city of Kyiv and the districts around it are being attacked differently, using misery and disruption as weapons.

Rolling blackouts for Kyiv and six other adjacent districts, including Kharkiv, have been declared by Ukraine's electrical operator under pressure as a result of Russian assaults that have damaged 40% of the nation's energy infrastructure. Additionally, unplanned emergencies outages are anticipated, as per USA Today.

Sixteen regions have experienced power outages as a result of Russian drone and missile assaults, which has prompted Kyiv officials to consider organizing mass evacuations. Although they observed that 1,000 heating shelters would not be adequate for the 3 million residents of the city, they nevertheless aim to build them. In the winter, Kyiv often experiences low 20s to low 30s in temperature.
