Tesla Cyberquad's electric ATV appears in a recent trademark filing, suggesting it is still in the works.

The Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, introduced the Cyberquad four years ago, while the much-awaited Cybertruck took the spotlight in 2019.

Tesla Cyberquad Electric ATV Trademark Filing

As per Tech Times, the giant EV maker first teased the Cyberquad ATV in 2019, alongside the launch of the long-delayed Cybertruck electric pickup truck.

The all-electric automaker marketed the Cyberquad as a full-blown electric ATV, allowing adults to go on an off-roading adventure. Initially, it was unclear if Tesla planned to sell the electric ATV. But later on, Musk ended queries, confirming that it would be available to Cybertruck customers.

As the anticipation surrounding the Cyberquad's release has been building steadily over the years, the EV maker released a different version. In 2021, Tesla introduced an electric ATV, which instead caters to kids, aptly called Cyberquad for Kids.

But late last year, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission or CPSC recalled the Cyberquad ATV for Kids over safety standard violations. The recall seeks to prevent further injury or death to the injury and crash risks of the vehicle for young minds.

Due to the long delay of the ATV, it seemed like Tesla abandoned the full-blown Cyberquad as it kept mum on its development too. However, nearly four years after the Cyberquad caught our attention, the much-awaited electric ATV finally appeared in a recent trademark filing of the American automaker. The new filing suggests that Tesla has rekindled its commitment to the project, sending ripples of excitement through the adventurous hearts of ATV enthusiasts.

According to Electrek, Tesla has filed for a Cyberquad name trademark, this time for its supposed release alongside the Cybertruck. However, as four years have passed since it first saw the light of day, the trademark has already expired. And because of this, the EV maker requested an extension for the trademark use since the previous filing likely lapsed last year.

Now that Tesla has requested a trademark use extension, it appears that the Musk-owned EV maker is still pursuing the development of the much-awaited ATV.

While Tesla has remained tight-lipped about the Cyberquad's specifications and potential release date, the trademark filing hints at an imminent unveiling.

The trademark filing also confirms that the Cyberquad will be under land vehicles, electric vehicles, and terrain vehicles categories, suggesting that the name is still for an electric ATV.

The design of the Cyberquad is heavily based on the futuristic look of the Cybertruck pickup. It sports a similar geometric look, according to Notebook Check.
