Democratic Delegate Stacey Plaskett accidentally says former President Donald Trump "needs to be shot" in an interview with MSNBC Sunday.
The Virgin Islands representative quickly corrected herself after the mishap while discussing Trump's alleged mishandling of classified documents.

As per a report by the New York Post, Plaskett found herself amid a verbal slip-up during a live TV appearance, wherein she slammed Trump over the mishandling of the classified documents.
While discussing political matters, she accidentally uttered a statement that dropped many jaws. The prominent Democratic figure accidentally said that "Donald Trump needs to be shot" while discussing the current political climate.
The unintended slip of the tongue immediately triggered a flurry of reactions from supporters and critics.
However, Plaskett promptly corrected her slip of the tongue during her interview as she quickly realized the mishap. So it turns out she merely misspoke and did not intend to incite violence or harm toward the former President of the United States.
Plasketts told MSNBC Sunday anchor Jonathan Capehart, "Trump needs to be shot... stopped."
Plaskett Blasts Trump for Mishandling Classified Documents
The Democrat lawmaker Plaskett the former POTUS, for "having the classified information for Americans' and being able to share it with 'anyone and everyone who comes through' his resort."
After a slip of the tongue, Plaskett continued slamming the MAGA leader, saying that the POTUS would "have his day in court."
Besides Trump, she also called out other Republicans for their skepticism of the FBI and the Department of Justice, which she dubs mere propaganda. As The Daily Mail reports, Republicans, including Trump, are speculating that US President Joe Biden used the Justice Department to arrest his political rival.
The recent chyron incident of Fox News, wherein the conservative news network dubbed Biden a "wannabe dictator," is based on this rhetoric. The graphic claims that the President had his political rival persecuted.
Biden has consistently denied any involvement in the case against Trump. Forbes reports that the President says, "I have not spoken to [Garland] at all, and I'm not going to speak with him."
It is worth noting that Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Special Counsel Jack Smith, who charged the former President with 37 felony charges. All of which Trump pleaded not guilty to.
Despite these charges, Trump is adamant about his re-election run for the 2024 race, wherein he faces other Republicans, such as former Vice President Mike Pence and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Biden also confirmed his presidential bid.
