IKEA has urgently recalled the BLÅVINGAD children's fishing game due to "reports of small metal rivets coming loose" from the contraption, which could pose a choking risk for small children.

On its website, the Swedish furniture giant stressed no related injuries were reported, but the recall was announced as a precautionary measure.

"IKEA asks all customers who own the BLÅVINGAD fishing game, multicolor, to stop using it and return it to an IKEA store for a full refund," the company said. "Proof of purchase is not required."

The recall was initially announced in March.

BLÅVINGAD Used as a Tool to Raise Awareness About Oceanic Habitat

According to IKEA, the BLÅVINGAD collection was "designed to spark play and curiosity about the world's largest habitat, from tots to tweens."

The company added it has learned that children were "very concerned about the ocean" and that parents are being called to listen to their children's "fears" regarding the global climate issue.

Some items were made using recycled materials, including those made from ocean-bound plastic, where possible.
