Business Insider reported that the footage came from the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade. In the video, a Ukrainian soldier was seen using an RBS-70.

The RBS-70 is a portable air-defense weapon, which was designed and manufactured in Sweden. According to CNN, the footage was captured near the Melitopol city in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

As of writing, Ukrainian soldiers are reportedly making efforts to acquire Melitopol because it is considered a strategic hub in Zaporizhzhia.

The latest footage shows the efficiency of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade when it comes to shooting down Russian military airplanes.

Because of their effective war tactics, the Ukrainian brigade has gained recognition. Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the military group.

Experts said that the visit of Zelenskyy in mid-August underscored the importance of the Ukrainian brigade in the ongoing counteroffensive efforts against Russia.

Aside from Russian military airplanes, Ukrainian troops are also attacking air bases located deep in Russian territories.

Recently, footage showed how Ukraine's military is damaging Russian air bases. In the previous video, the Ukrainian military used repurposed Soviet-era reconnaissance drones.

Specifically, they modified the Tu-141 drone before using it to target Russian air bases.

"This is how Ukraine attacks Russian airfields from its territory," said Tryxa, a Ukranian news aggregator channel on Telegram.

The Ukrainian Telegram channel claimed that the video was shot on the Dyagilevo air base, which is located in Russia's Ryazan region.

This area is only 120 miles southeast of Moscow. Another footage showed a drone attack on the Engels-2 military base in Russia's Saratov region.

"Ukrainian forces likely sought to disrupt Russian strikes against Ukrainian critical infrastructure and demonstrate Ukraine's ability to target Russian strategic assets," said the American think tank Institute for the Study of War.

Attacking Russian military airplanes and Russian air bases are just among the strategies of Ukrainian soldiers to fend off their enemies and protect their land.
