Police from Batangas province in the Philippines reported an incident where nine buses suffered minor damages after a grenade was thrown early Sunday morning (September 10) by an unknown suspect in the town of Laurel on the western shore of Taal Lake.

There were no casualties during the incident, authorities said, and the explosion only shattered some of the buses' windows.

Suspect Still at Large, Motive Still Unknown

Local media alleged that the buses were parked in one of the town's transport terminals for the night when the explosion happened.

Police added the suspect remains at large, and a motive was still being sought. In the meantime, Philippine National Police (PNP) Batangas chief Col. Samson Belmonte urged locals who have further information about the person responsible for the incident to come forward to speed up the investigation process.
