For the past years, numerous sources have been claiming that the Russian leader has more than one body double working for him. Speculations claim that these doppelgangers serve as decoys to protect the ruler from assassinations and other dangers.

Now, General SVR claims that one of Putin's body doubles has been identified for the first time. Here's what you need to know about this rumored doppelganger.

Vladimir Putin's Body Double Allegedly Identified for the First Time!

According to The Daily Mail UK's latest report, an alleged body double of Vladimir Putin has been named as Yevgeny Vasilyevich, who is reported to be a "fourth-rate" carpenter from Belarus.

Genera SVR claims that this Russian carpenter is the main doppelganger of the president. Aside from his identity, Vasilyevich was also allegedly poisoned.

However, the Russian Telegram channel claimed that he survived the assassination attempt. General SVR said that the body double developed skin rashes on his neck, as well as upper and lower extremities.

The Russian Telegram channels said that Russian doctors mistook these rashes for an allergy, but later claimed to be caused by toxic substances.

But, before believing what General SVR claims, you should know that the Russian Telegram channel didn't provide any evidence to support the rumored identity of Vladimir Putin's body double or the assassination attempt.

General SVR is just one of the online sources in Russia that regularly shares unproven news and other content about Vladimir Putin's health, body double, and other controversial things about the Russian leader.

In October 2023, Russian officials shared their comments about allegations claiming that Vladimir Putin is using body doubles to protect himself.

Russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that all rumors saying that Vladimir Putin's health is worsening are false.

"Everything is fine with him, this is absolutely another fake," said the Kremlin's spokesman via CNBC.

"This belongs to the category of absurd information hoaxes that a whole series of media discuss with enviable tenacity," he added.

Dmitry Peskov further stated that all rumors about Vladimir Putin's health evoke nothing "but a smile."
