Authorities arrested three suspects, including the father and grandmother of an 11-year-old Florida girl shot to death, after police found the gun concealed in a scarf in her room.

Taliyan Clarke died from a fatal gunshot wound to the chest Tuesday, according to Miami police, WTVJ-TV, WSVN-TV and WPLG-TV reported.

On Wednesday, Taliyan's dad Titato Hatzate Clarke, 40; grandma Charlene Ann Webster, 59; and Clarke's girlfriend Nancy Severe, 43; were arrested on charges of aggravated manslaughter in connection with her slaying.

Clarke and Webster alleged Taliyan was in her room at their Miami apartment, playing with her 9-year-old brother, when they heard a loud "pop," according to police.

The pair went to investigate the noise and allegedly found the girl suffering from a gunshot wound. They rushed her to the hospital where she died.

Investigators alleged they found a gun wrapped in a pink scarf and blanket, hidden in the girl's bedroom. A bullet casing and pools of blood were also located at the scene, said police.

During questioning, police alleged Clarke – who was previously convicted of 12 felonies – gave several inconsistent stories about how his daughter got shot.

"All three adults were residents of the apartment at the time of the shooting and shared responsibility for supervision of the victim," the arrest report states, according to WTVJ.
