Major retailers including Best Buy, Target, Amazon, GameFLY and others have listed the PS4 version of The Last Of Us for pre-orders with a conflicting shipping date in June or December.

The Last Of Us: Remastered, a remake of the last year's award-winning PS3 title for the latest next-gen PS4 console, was originally slated for a "summer 2014" release by Sony. The Japanese electronics giant did not give away specific details of the launch, but the latest revelation by major online retailers suggests a possible launch date for the PS4 title.

Renowned online retailers including Best Buy, Target and MightyApe suggest a June release date, while other retailers like Target, GameStop and GameFLY have listed the game with much later release in December. While the conflicting dates leave us hanging again, Sony Entertainment Network has listed the downloadable copy of the game on its website for pre-order suggesting its release December 31, 2014.

Sony also listed the game's disc for pre-order from three major retailers, Amazon, Target and Gamestop. While Amazon is taking pre-orders for the PS4 title with availability starting June 20, Target and GameStop have opted for a release date of December 31. GameFLY, another online retailer has listed the game's shipping date in December similar to Sony, Target and GameStop.

Taking sides with Amazon is Best Buy and an Australian retailer MightyApe. Both retailers will start shipping The Last Of Us: Remastered, June 20, as the listing suggests.

According to Naughty Dog's community strategist Arne Meyer, the PS4 version of The Last Of Us will feature the game play in Full HD 1080p resolution, with enhanced visuals, improved models and textures, better lighting and shadows. The game will be available from all major retailers for $60.

re-ordering the game early on PlayStation Store will give gamers early access to Brawler Survival Skill, additional Loadout Points, Jeep Cap and Surgical Mask in Factions Mode, according to Meyer.
