Dominos Pizza announced this week that it has teamed up with Google's Wallet app, which allows customers to purchase meals with greater ease. Officials stated that the new payment option gives consumers with Android smartphones the chance to order food and other items from the pizza maker electronically, according to a company press release publicized on Monday.
"This is yet another way Dominos is using technology to improve our customer experience," Patrick Doyle, president and chief executive officer at Dominos, wrote in the statement. "Google Wallet is a great technology that allows customers even more flexibility and convenience when it comes to paying for their Dominos orders."
According to the press release, pizza enthusiasts will be able to store information from debit, credit and loyalty cards on their smartphones as part of Dominos' honored customer program.
According to Pizza Marketplace, customers who sign up for the deal can receive a free order of Dominos' recently released Specialty Chicken until close on June 15 with purchases exceeding $10 or more. Interested participants can sign up for an account via Dominos mobile app, or on Google's wallet website.
Dominos launched four new flavors of its Specialty Chicken on April 14, including Crispy Bacon and Tomato, Spicy Jalapeno Pineapple, Classic Hot Buffalo, and Sweet BBQ Bacon.
The company also released a television advertisement Monday illustrating the company's lifelong motto to fearlessly embark on risks, according to a press release publicized by Dominos when the new chicken product was first released.
"Our new Specialty Chicken is one of the most creative, innovative menu items we have ever had," Russell Weiner, chief marketing officer at Dominos said in a press release at the time. "Our pizza chefs have taken chicken to a whole new level, using our unique ingredients to create these four bold flavors. There's nothing quite like Domino's Specialty Chicken on the market today."
