Mailbox rolled out a new update to its iOS mobile app to include the intelligent Auto-Swipe feature and integration with Dropbox.

Mailbox, the popular third-party email app, pushed a small yet important update to its iOS mobile application. The new Mailbox Version 2.0 brings the long-overdue Auto-Swipe feature to iPhones and iPads. The update also includes deeper integration with Dropbox and several bug fixes and performance boosters.

Auto-Swipe function on Mailbox, as seen in Android, learns from users' swipes and snoozes and automates common actions on its own. For instance, if users trash an email from the same spam email more than once, Auto-swipe will trash it in the future. Similarly, common functions like snoozing emails, muting conversations or routing all recipients to a list can be done automatically. The feature was first made available on Android devices, when the app officially debuted on Google-owned mobile platform earlier this month.

Mailbox app was initially launched on iOS about a year ago and its unique features and clean minimalistic interface made it popular among iPhone users. Simple gestures like swiping to manage emails aided its success. When the app debuted on the Android platform, it included new features that were not seen in its iOS counterpart. But the latest update to the iOS version of Mailbox makes it identical to the Android app.

The Mailbox 2.0 for iOS also includes Dropbox integration. The move was highly anticipated, considering the renowned cloud storage company owned the app for a little more than a year and the feature was already available on Android. With Dropbox, Mailbox for iOS users can store and sync preferences and Auto-swipe patterns across different email accounts and devices.

The update also brings several bug fixes to the iOS Mailbox app and comes with improved performance. As the iOS version of the app is fully in line with its Android counterpart, Mailbox is one step closer towards its upcoming Mailbox for Mac. The company announced a private beta for Mac earlier this month and users can get early access to the program by signing up here.

Mailbox 2.0 is available for download on iTunes and Android users can get the app from Play Store.
