The Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia feud won't go away. The two continued their back-and-forth this week in a war of words rarely seen in professional golf.

A reporter asked Woods on Monday if he'd ever make peace with Garcia after the two's feud during The Players Championship. Woods replied with one word: "No."

Garcia, seemingly discontent to let the TPC Sawgrass winner get the last word, fired back at Woods in an interview in England, according to NESN.

"He called me a whiner. He's probably right," Garcia said on Tuesday. "But that's also probably the first thing he's told you guys that's true in 15 years. I know what he's like. You guys are finding out."

Reporters mentioned Woods' comment from Monday to Garcia. The 33-year-old Spaniard then made it clear he had no desire to reconcile with Woods either.

"That doesn't surprise me. That's what he's like," Garcia said. "First of all, I don't have his number. And secondly, I did nothing wrong and don't have anything to say to him. And he wouldn't pick up the phone anyway.

"But that's OK, I don't need him as a friend," he said. "I don't need him in my life to be happy and that's fine. It's as simple as that. Like I have always said, I try to be as truthful as possible. Tiger doesn't make a difference to my life. And I know that I don't make a difference to his life."

The feud began on the second day of the PGA Tour at Sawgrass when Garcia blamed Woods for messing up his shot. The two exchanged words over the weekend. Field marshals even got involved in the spat, where two marshals claimed Woods lied and two other Marshals said he spoke the truth.

Monday and Tuesday's comments are just the latest addition to the unsettled quarrel. Woods and Garcia have the opportunity to play together again at the U.S. Open in three weeks.
