The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has turned away more than its fair share of celebrities - as singer Lana Del Rey becomes the latest artist to postpone her scheduled concert in Israel.

The Jerusalem Post reported that the 29-year-old "Blue Jeans" singer postponed her first-ever concert in the country due to her concern over the ongoing violence between forces in Israel and Hamas. The singer was scheduled to perform at the Tel-Aviv's Exhibition Ground on August 20.

"Lana apologizes to the fans [that] brought tickets to the show," Promoter Rani Rahav said in a statement to the Haaretz Newspaper. "Details on a new date will be announced in the coming days."

Del Rey's opening act, Max Jury, wrote on Twitter, "Unfortunately the show with @LanaDelRey in Tel Aviv on August 20th has been postponed. Will let y'all know the rescheduled date ASAP."

Fan Joseph Brenner reacted to the singer's cancelled concert, writing, "Lana, please come to Israel. We love you here, dont disappoint us, dont be effected by some people who got hates in their head, please, i would like to see you here, we got here beautiful country with good people, and beside, if to die somewhere, it's in the holy land ... just joking a bit, cause we are all under pressure here, with this Hamas terrorists."

Del Rey is currently on tour for her latest album, "Ultra violence".

The singer joins a list of artists who have either cancelled or postponed the concerts due to conflict arising in the Middle East.

Singer Cee-lo Green was set to perform at Independence Park in Jerusalem on August 19, but the former judge on "The Voice" reportedly postponed the show out of concern for his safety.

"The artist and his crew really wanted to come, but unfortunately, we were the ones who had to postpone it because this is not the right time to advertise and push a concert and also because Israel Defense Forces' regional Home Front Command allows gathering of up to a thousand people only," Carmi D. Wurtman, Israel club promoter said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Last month, the Backstreet boys cancelled their first-ever performance at the Ra'anana Amphitheater near Tel Aviv on July 29, 30 and 31. Other artists that have announced the cancellation or rescheduling of shows in Israel include Neil Young and Crazy Horse.
