Over two million bean bag chairs were recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission after the death of two children.
The zippers on the bean bag chairs can be opened, allowing children the ability to crawl inside and suffocate, as Chicago Tribune reports.
The chairs were manufactured by Ace Bayou Corp. and are sold at Bon-Ton, Meijer, Pamida, School Specialty, Wayfair and Walmart stores and online on Amazon.com.
"They offer different types of bean bag chairs including a round and L-shaped version," reports American Live Wire. "The round bean bag chairs were sold in three sizes: 30, 32, and 40 inches in diameter. The L-shaped bean bag chair measured 18 inches wide by 30 inches deep by 30 inches high. "Ace Bayou Corp." is printed on a tag sewn into the chair's cover seam.
It's recommended to take the bean bags away from children immediately or go to acebayou.com, where the company is sending out free repair kits to stop the zippers from opening.
A 13-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl were both found dead inside their chairs on separate occasions after inhaling the beads in the chair and suffocating, according to The Associated Press.
